Christian Tierney

Christian Tierney is a 20 year old director and photographer from Dublin, Ireland.

At the age of 15, he founded his YouTube channel with the aim of finding and sharing the best new Irish and international music through intimate, cinematic live sessions and interviews that he shoots himself. Since then he has grown it into a global music platform with over 9,000,000 views and 25,000 loyal subscribers. In the channel's first year, he discovered and filmed the then unknown but soon to be global megastars, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, helping to introduce them to a wider Irish audience for the first time. Two years later, Christian discovered the then up and coming singer-songwriter James Bay and filmed the first ever recording of his song Let It Go which has since gone on to be a global hit. As a result and despite his age, Christian has already gained extensive experience in the music industry shooting the biggest artists in the world like The Weeknd, Macklemore, Demi Lovato, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, The 1975, James Bay and many more as well as for organisations like TIDAL, Universal, Sony and Warner Music.

Alongside his music work, he creates video and photo content for UFC champion Conor McGregor via his digital brand TheMacLife.com, for which he was head videographer for the biggest fight in combat sports history, Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather. Over three weeks in Las Vegas, Nevada, Christian created documentary style web episodes showing Conor's training and media events all the way up to fight night.

He has also directed internationally award winning short films, official music videos and has photographed countless concerts and festivals like Electric Picnic, Longitude, Forbidden Fruit, Sea Sessions and Live at The Marquee.

Christian has been a guest speaker at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival, Fresh Film Festival, Dublin Creative Tech Fest, Zeminar and Dublin City University.

His work has been featured by publications such as GQ, Complex, Highsnobiety, RTÉ, The Irish Times, JOE.ie, Irish Examiner, The Irish Sun, The Irish Mirror, Today FM, Spin 1038, Hot Press Magazine, Fstoppers, Cara Magazine, SpunOut.ie and the Cork Evening Echo.
